Casa Amarilla
Two lake-view units — one upstairs, one downstairs — each with a jetted tub. The upstairs unit has a full bed; the downstairs bedroom can be set as a king or two twins, with a sofa bed for extra guests.
The Pink House
Casa Rosada
Two lake-view units — one upstairs, one downstairs — each with a queen bed and a jetted tub. The downstairs unit adds a daybed for an extra guest.
The Blue House
Casa Azul
A full two-bedroom home — one bedroom with a queen, the other with a king that can be set as two twins — plus a private full bathroom, a large downstairs living room, a half bath, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Villas del Carmen is a private retreat venue in Jaibalito, on the north shore of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala. Facilitators rent the property for yoga, wellness, women's, meditation and creative retreats — a single house, an entire home, or the whole sanctuary for up to 16 guests. The property is reached by boat, and it is yours for the length of your programme.
Shared rooms are priced per guest, per night, so you pay only for the people who come. Meals are an optional add-on rather than a package you are locked into, and the Facilitator House gives retreat leaders a separate lake-view house of their own.

November through April is Guatemala's dry season and the busiest retreat window, so those dates book furthest ahead. The green months from May to October are quieter and the lake is at its most lush.
There is no road access to get to Villas Del Carmen. To arrive, you can take a private or public boat from Panajachel to our private dock. You can also arrive at the Jaibalito public dock and then walk along the shore for 5 minutes to get to us!
Yes, we would be happy to adjust our menu to accommodate all dietary needs. Please let us know about these ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Yes, as long as we do not have bookings, we can definitely accommodate early arrivals and extra nights stays. Meals may not be included, depending on our chef’s availability. Please reach out to us for details on pricing and bookings.
For Nightly Stays: Your stay is paid in full when you book, so there is nothing left to pay and nothing to come back for. That payment is not refundable. You can change your dates free of charge up to 30 days before you arrive, as long as we have availability. Within 30 days of arrival, dates can't be changed. If you need to cancel and rebook, just reach out and we'll arrange it by hand. For Retreat Hosts: Your $1,000 retreat deposit is never returned as cash. If you cancel, we keep a cancellation fee and credit whatever is left toward a future retreat date, subject to availability. The earlier you tell us, the smaller the fee: Cancelling 6 months or more before your retreat: we keep $400 and credit $600. Cancelling 3 to 6 months before: we keep $700 and credit $300. Cancelling less than 3 months before: we keep the full $1,000 and there is no credit.
